I have been I bigger girl since I was a youngster. With that being said, it was always tough for me to buy boots and clothes that fit correctly.
If you're anything like me, and you have large calves, it's very difficult to find a wide selection of fashion boots that fit. Instead of an happy shopping experience, it almost always becomes a stressful event to firstly find cute, fashionable boots in a style that I like -- and then its up in the air whether or not the boot will slide or zip up over my calves. Irritating! Please stay hopeful, you will soon find the shoes you have been wishing for.
I have spent many years trying to locate the correct pair of womens wide calf boot that fit my special body type. I went for too long not wearing boots comfortably because I could not find any that fit my calves just right. Iwent on a mission for myself and others like myself to find boots that anyone could where, not just those skinny ladies. Below I have outlined the four genres of boots that I believe are top of the line for ladies with calfves.
Half of the battle is finding a boot that correctly fits the demensions of the calves.
Here's a quick list of a few styles of boots that almost always to work for bigger calves:
1. Scrunch: These are slouch styledboots that are soft enough to gently push down in the direction of the ankle. The "scrunch" effect gives the boot a more casual look. In relation of fit, the "scrunch" allows you to relocate the boots down the leg to make for a more comfortable fit around your calf.
2. The Inside zipper: You're most likely familiar with this type. There is a long zipper on the boot that allows you to put in your foot, pull the boot shaft up around your leg, and zip up the boot. I have found that a small stretch panel allows the boot to zip up snugly around your calf.
3. Stretch Boots: Boots with stretch leather are a god send for fitting larger calves. It provides ample enough ease to fit large calves. Although this type of boot enables space for calves that are a little larger than others, sometimes an actual extra wide calf boot is necessay.
4. Boots with Sweater knit: This style another casual type boot. The foot of the boot is produced completely out of leather while the actual boot shaft is made of a knit fabric. Additionally, they are super stylish, and perfect for casual wear. This are absolutley my favorite type of boots.
